Please find below some final details for participants of the SWAT4LS conference.

All Presenters
If the first author is not the one presenting, please let us know by contacting Femke Francissen <femke.francissen@dtls.nl> and referencing the title or EasyChair number of your paper. We will underline the presenting author´s name in the program.

Posters & Flash talks
We’ve decided to offer all poster presenters a 5 minute slot in the programme to present their research. Please prepare a few slides (max. 5) for you presentation! You can find the time slot of your presentation in the final programme: https://www.swat4ls.org/workshops/amsterdam2016/main-conference/

​To ensure continuity, all Flash presentation slides must be received by 9AM Tuesday Dec. 6 so that they can be pre-loaded at the podium for presentation that morning.
Naming convention: <time><lastname first author>.<suffix> (example with first Flash) : 910Siebes.pptx

​Poster guidelines:

  • Please prepare your poster in A0 portrait format: height: 1189 mm (46.81 inches) and width: 841 mm (33.11 inches)

  • Poster setup in the Foyer: Monday December 5th, during opening reception or Tuesday December 6th after 8:00

Speakers
If you are a speaker at the conference, please visit the conference room (Pieter Borst Auditorium – PB) in the break before your talk to upload your presentation or test your laptop. If you are using your own laptop for the presentation, please bring the necessary adapters/connectors (Macs!).

Opening drinks & buffet December 5th (RSVP before December 1st)
We are planning drinks and a buffet at the end of the Tutorial day on December 5th. We would like to invite all participants to join the opening drinks and buffet, but we need to know if you are planning to join. Please indicate in this Google form if you are planning to join! 

Social event & conference dinner December 6th

Please note that the buses will not bring us back to NKI. ​ It would be good to plan your trip back by bus, tram or metro beforehand via: http://9292.nl/en​. ​It will be possible to leave items/baggage in a locked room at 5PM that can be retrieved on Wednesday morning.

Venue & route description
The Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) is located in the Antoni van Leewenhoek (AvL) hospital, which is also next to the MC Slotervaart hospital. On maps, you will need to look for Antoni van Leewenhoek (AvL) hospital. Google maps will send you to the back side of the hospital (corner of Plesmanlaan and Johan Huizingalaan). The main entrance is located on the opposite side of the building. From the main entrance, you will need to walk straight through to the auditorium on the other side of the building. See map below. Public transport instruction can be found under ‘Venue and useful information’ on the SWAT4LS website.
